Go: System Prefrences > Security & Privacy > Click lock to make changes > Advanced > Disable remote infrared receiver. This will disable the infrared receiver that controls iTunes and controlling play and pause etc. This problem normally occurs if your main computer is an Apple and its placement is near the apple tv. So each time you press any button to manipulate the apple tv, the computer does something in relevance to iTunes
